NOVEMBER 15, 2017 – Dr. Kathleen Krenzer, iuvo BioScience’s Research Fellow in Toxicology, was recently chosen as the Vice President-Elect of the Ocular Toxicity Specialty Section of the Society of Toxicology.
The position is elected annually by a vote of the membership of the SOT, and shall become the Vice President of the Specialty Section after serving for one year as Vice President-Elect.
“The SOT has made a great selection in electing Dr. Krenzer to this position,” said iuvo’s Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Mary Richardson. “She has tremendous knowledge and experience in this area, and I’m sure she’ll bring the same energy and enthusiasm to the SOT that she brings to iuvo every day.”
The focus of the Specialty Section is to provide a forum for toxicologists and other professionals involved in ocular toxicity / toxicology studies.
Dr. Krenzer holds a Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry and a PhD in Pathology from Boston University School of Medicine, with a focus on ocular pathology and dry eye disease, combined with post-doctoral work at the Schepens Eye Research Institute of Harvard University.
