iuvo BioScience and Oculos Clinical Research Announce Key Hires

September 18, 2018 – Rochester, NY and Tampa, FL – iuvo BioScience is proud to announce, in support of the continued growth of the business, the following professionals joining the organization.

Ronil Patel – Business Development Executive

Ronil has joined the Oculos Clinical Research team as a Business Development Executive.  Ronil brings over a decade of business and scientific leadership experience to his role with Oculos.  Prior to joining Oculos, Ronil was the Director of Business Development for Point Guard Partners, LLC.  Ronil is responsible for driving business opportunities specifically in ophthalmic clinical research, as well as more broadly across our integrated suite of services (e.g., preclinical, regulatory, CMC) for our ophthalmic clients.

Jessica Meyers, Ph.D. – Toxicologist

Jessica has joined iuvo BioScience as a staff Toxicologist.  Jessica completed her Ph.D. from the University of Rochester in Toxicology, with her research focus on developmental immunotoxicology and has presented at numerous conferences and has received several notable  scientific awards.  Jessica brings experience in both pharmaceutical and medical device research and development.  Jessica earned her bachelors of science in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh.  Jessica currently provides consulting support for our clients.

Thomas McEIroy – Manager, Microbiology

Thomas joins iuvo as Principal Scientist/Manager, Microbiology.  Thomas has over 18 years of experience in medical device and pharmaceutical microbiology, most recently as a Supervisor of Microbiology with Unither Manufacturing.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Maryland, and is a recognized R&D, QC and GMP expert.  Thomas is responsible for leading all aspects of the microbiology function, including resource management, client support, technical oversight / troubleshooting and the development and execution of a well-defined growth strategy for the microbiology department.

Dawn Waldron – Client Services Specialist

Dawn joins iuvo as a Client Services Specialist.  Prior to her role with iuvo, Dawn spent nearly 15 years in various sales and customer service roles with companies including Bausch & Lomb, ABB Optical Group and Leiters.  Dawn earned her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master’s degree in Business and Marketing Education from SUNY Oswego.  Dawn supports clients on projects, as well as supporting internal efforts on proposal development and program management.
