New Publication by Dr. Chris Houston on Parenteral and Ophthalmic Drug Products

iuvo’s Director of Analytical Chemistry, Dr. Chris Houston, recently co-authored an article in the PDA Journal of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology entitled “Simulated Leaching (Migration) Study of a Model Container-Closure System Applicable to Parenteral and Ophthalmic Drug Products.”

Dr. Houston has been with iuvo BioScience for almost two years.  Prior to joining iuvo, Dr. Houston served as a senior analytical scientist at Bausch + Lomb where, among other accomplishments, he created and managed a successful extractables and leachables program. Dr. Houston also has held roles with increasing levels of responsibilities in analytical development at Pfizer and Pharmacia. He obtained his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Indiana University with a focus on biological mass spectrometry.  With over sixteen years of service in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, Dr. Houston brings a wealth of knowledge in analytical method development, problem solving, and identification of unknown chemical entities, and is a globally recognized expert in the field of assessment of extractables and leachables for pharmaceuticals.
